Applied Math & Data Science @ UC Berkeley
I’m passionate about mathematics and technology and figuring out how we can use these tools to make a lasting impact. I enjoy working on projects that allow me to grow as a problem solver by teaching me new approaches to thinking and give me the chance to go outside of the box.
I love learning new things and have explored a variety of breadths at Berkeley including a simultaneous degree in Applied Math, with an emphasis in Economics, and Data Science, with an emphasis in Psychology and Human Behavior, and actively pursuing the UC Berkeley Sutardja Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Technology.
Outside the classroom I still consider myself a student of my environment and love learning new skills and trying new things. Some new things I have recently tried are running a half marathon, learning to DJ, and navigating the kitchen in my first college apartment. Some of my more permanent and favorite activities include golfing, photography and travel (both shown below), and I always believe you can learn something from a good story and am an avid consumer of all media (Film/Television: Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, Modern Family, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Pitch Perfect Books: Educated, Normal People)

Built an XGBoost-based forecasting model to evaluate whether sell-side research reports improve prediction accuracy for Gilead Sciences stock prices.
Conducted Diebold–Mariano and noise permutation tests to assess statistical significance across 34 firms; 20 firms showed improved predictive performance, though none exceeded the 0.05 significance threshold.
Received Honorable Mention at the 2026 UC Berkeley Data Science Symposium.
